From the spellbinding architecture of Trashichho Dzong or Simtokha Dzong to the majestic Buddha Dordenma in Kuenselphodrang, Thimphu is laden with places of varied interests. As you reach Gangtey, you will be wonderstruck by the splendid flat valley. Gangtey is home to the migratory black-necked cranes during the winter months.

On the way to Punakha from Gangtey admire the 108 Chortens at the Dochula Pass or explore the fertility temple of Chimi Lhakhang and learn about the practice of hanging wooden phalluses at the entries of monasteries or painted on walls of various buildings.
